just for fun.
If you watched my gallery before you've seen that I was "afraid" (really :fear: lol) bright colors in the pictures ... and background ... this is the first attempt to "overcome" "fear" =)

Right off the bat I will say this is a very beautiful work of art. For a moment, I had thought this was a photograph and not a drawing.
I really enjoy the lighting effects presented on the scales of the fish. I like how you not only showed the reflections of the blue of the water onto the fish, but how you remembered to reflect the orange of the fish onto the surrounding waters.
There is a great amount of depth in this picture that is very wonderfully capured by the lighting and shading. There is also a very nice flow to this, as if he was caught in a slow stride but not moving fast enough to be missed. The blending of lines was executed in a fairly professional manner. You obviously know what you're doing.
I will say I almost gave a 4.5 on vision because it seems a bit too plain. After looking over the picture again, I reevaluated the brush strokes, the mastery of the scale emphasis, and the depth this piece creates, and I quickly changed my mind.
However, I did give a 4.5 in originality. Although it is a very nice piece, it seems like there is a fish, and there is only a fish. To me, he just seems to be there, though I am highly impressed overall. I am glad that this "just for fun" turned out as it did. It seems like you've gotten over your fear.
Over all, very beautiful, and very well done!
